| It is the year two thousand eight...I sat there, for the first time, in my Advanced Directing class, listening to our professor Sandi explain to us how we should go about choosing our material for the semester. I had already come into the class with a desire to pick something I knew very well, something I had already long been fond of, and perhaps something reminiscent of the old days. And the more I heard, the more I knew that I had come in with the most perfect mindset. One phrase set me off in particular: I must really, truly love what I select. I must live and breathe it, know it inside and out, and be completely enamored of that material. And then I felt the cold sea breeze on my shoulder... ...and I could hear the cries of the gulls... ...the crashing of the waves... ...and the ship's bells rolling in from the harbor.... And then, with that, I knew what I was to do. | | |
| The hunt for grad schools continues...Music: Danny Elfman - Big Fish - Titles A protected post is up. If you're a pirate, an elk, Dutch, or a tapper, you should log in and take a look. I'd like some feedback, and ASAP, meaning before tonight, if at all possible. It should all be a quick read, anyway. And hopefully enjoyable, too. Fight on! | | |
