  • Does God Read Your Blog?

I was thinking today of the idea of God reading your blog.  Not so much for the content but the issue of is God that aware of what you are doing.  If He can hear all of your prayers, then I would think He could read your blog.

Some people have this view of God that He is in charge of the universe and doing more important issues.  Others see God as caring about the individual issues of our lives.

So it led me to the thought of God reading our blogs.  I am sure He reads mine if nothing else because of the funny comments.  In fact, I am pretty sure He read the blog with the boobies and if He would have messaged me He would have told me He created Eve topless.  I would have messaged back "I know but most of the people who call themselves Christians have never read your Bible."

Do you think God reads your blog?

  • Staying Home From Church

I went to work on Friday the 4th at 10 a.m.  I was supposed to be off that day.  I worked all day long and through the night to get a big order out.  I left work at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning and then came back at 9 a.m.  I worked until 4:00 pm.

Do you think "being tired" is a good enough excuse for staying home from church?

  • Youtube, Google and Privacy

A judge ordered Google to turn over a Youtube database to Viacom that would let them know which users viewed what videos.  Here is the link:  Link

There are those that are concerned that Google stores information on its users.

Does it concern you that Google stores your search engine searches and your viewing information on Youtube?

  • Taking Xanga Usernames from the Dead

While I was watching Hancock tonight, I thought of a plan that will provide hours of fun.  Xanga has recently sent out emails to their users telling them they need to update or they will potentially take their old xanga names and make them available to other users.  This is to free up usernames for those who want to use them.

You know who can't answer those emails to save their accounts?

    That is right.  Dead people.

We have a unique opportunity if we act quickly.  We can go find people on xanga who have died.  Look at their sites and read all of their posts and comments.  Then when xanga makes their names available, take one of your old accounts and rename it to their xanga name.  Then start updating using phrases and memories that they would draw from.

After a few posts, you can begin the process of commenting their family and friends.  Mention things that would be consistent with their personality.  You might even message them.

    Their reaction will be priceless.

Someone commented recently that she was embarrassed to click on my site in the library because of the photos that I posted.

Do you think my site is safe for work and the library?

Tablet ignites debate on messiah and resurrection

"A three-foot-tall tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth of Jesus is causing a quiet stir in biblical and archaeological circles, especially because it may speak of a messiah who will rise from the dead after three days." When I was looking for a job, I put out 200-300 resumes on Monster.com and received a few responses but not any good jobs. I sent out about 200 resumes on carreerbuilders.com and got a few responses and only one potential good job. I sent out my resume to about 150-200 jobs on craigslist.org and I received about 25-30 responses and got my job from craigslist.

  • Confessions of a Blogger Part 6

Confessions of a Blogger Part 6

It amazes me how people respond to broken product. All you have to do is tell them they are getting a slightly better deal because the product is broken and they can't resist the deal. It is like it is a drug. In fact, I am going to put broken product into my marketing plan for my location. I am going to write a paper called "Broken Product Theory" and explain for all of the other locations how they can use broken product to increase sales. I am hoping to get promoted at work to vice-president of broken product marketing. I will go to the other locations and show them how to break product in such a way to make the product ugly but still allow it to be functional.
