Basic and Dynamic Disc Volumes in Windows XP
Basic storage uses normal partition tables supported by MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. A disk initialized for basic storage is called a basic disk. A basic disk contains basic volumes, such as primary partitions, extended partitions, and logical drives. Additionally, basic volumes include multidisk volumes that are created by using Windows NT 4.0 or earlier, such as volume sets, stripe sets, mirror sets, and stripe sets with parity. Windows XP does not support these multidisk basic volumes. Any volume sets, stripe sets, mirror sets, or stripe sets with parity must be backed up and deleted or converted to dynamic disks before you install Windows XP Professional.
Dynamic storage is supported in Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003. A disk initialized for dynamic storage is called a dynamic disk. A dynamic disk contains dynamic volumes, such as simple volumes, spanned volumes, striped volumes, mirrored volumes, and RAID-5 volumes. With dynamic storage, you can perform disk and volume management without the need to restart Windows. Storage types are separate from the file system type. A basic or dynamic disk can contain any combination of FAT16, FAT32, or NTFS partitions or volumes. A disk system can contain any combination of storage types. However, all volumes on the same disk must use the same storage type.

| Well, it's been a while since my last update I guess. A real update I
mean, not just a quick write. But yeah... So not much up really, just
lots of confusion and stressing out.
School is comming around the corner really soon. We pick up our
schedules this thursday and the guys and I have yet to schedule our
senior pics. Eh... w/e. Man, it's the last year I'm gonna be goin to
OPHS. Crazy... It feels like I just got there, as a freshmen. I'm
actually kinda scared/nervous about this year. I really hope everything
goes right. We're all grown up now, its sooo freakin insane. I want to
be a kid again, back in Jr. High going to track practice
everyday, comming home and doing nothing and not having to worry about
paying bills. Man, things have changed so much, from the people we
chill with to how we act and our styles. If you asked me what I thought
I'd be like my Senior year, who I'd be with, how I'd act, what I'd be
thinking, I'm almost 100% positive that it wouldn't be what I am now.
It's almost terrifying how fast we all grew up and changed. I just hope
I can still keep my friends that I have for the rest of my life. =/
Of course Ima have to leave a section for my Jaylatte! xD! It's only a
matter of time till I come down and visit you! Hahaha, hopefully you
don't change too much by the time I get there! I love the time we spend
talking to each other and making fun of each other. You'll probably
always have the record for the longest phone call with me. 6 1/2
hours!!! xD!

Today was just an unbelievable day! Well, actually if I REALLY think
about it, today was just a normal day BUT the movie we watched just
changes my whole mood. If you haven't watch The Wedding
Crashers then you are totally missing out. That movie is sooo
god damn fuckin good! The summer's best movie! It just inspires me to
do so much and it revived me and my spirit in more ways than one.
God.... I sooo freakin <3333 that movie!
But n e ways, away from all that rambling... I'm seriously thinkin bout
adding some red to my hair. Not all of it of course, just kind of a
highlight type of thing. And I'm seriously thinkin bout getting my ear
and lip pierced when I turn 18 this November. I've already talked to my
friend Danielle about the lip ring and work/surfing/kissing and she
says not to worry about it. So far I'm pretty psyched about it! So
yeah... I hope everybody liked my poems from my last entry tho! All
meh! xD! Ok, so I'm still on my natural high but it just feels
soooooooo GOOD! Nothing can EVAR beat this, not weed, not gettin drunk, NOTHING!
Well, xcept maybe if my brothers were here lyk Vinnie, Tony, Ben,
Terrel, Kev, Dan, and the rest of the crew! xD!! I'm OUT!!! LATER!#!@!~#
