Thoughts on life

Well Christmas was good. I sometimes forget how much I can miss my family, and I'm realizing how much I truly miss out on. My nephews are growing up so fast, at least that's how it seems when you only see them two or three times a year. But that will be something I will change. Now that I have a "normal job" I can actually attend family functions, I no longer work weekends or nights like I have for the past 3 years. I'll have the time to watch my loved ones grow, and I'll be more than just a name.

For the fourth year in a row I once again spent Christmas morning alone, and the scariest part was that I was not saddened by it. The past three years it bothered me, but now it just seems right. I fear that the worst thing in the world is happening to me...I'm growing up. I have a 9-5 Mon-Fri. job, I go to bed early, I don't go party or hang out at clubs, and worst of all, I feel like I don't have the time to see my friends. That's my biggest issue, time. I always feel like I have a ton of things to do, but I'm never really doing anything. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden my life....just....stopped.

What really doesn't help anything is that I live so far away from everything. I have wonderful friends in Baldwin, and I love the town. But again, I don't have the time to enjoy them anymore. Maybe that's what really changed, I used to be all about the little things in life, watching the sun rise, spending time in fields of wildflowers or forests, playing in the rain, soaking up the warmth of a beam of sunlight. Now it seems that there is always something more important to do. But that's the way life is sometimes, and we all have to struggle through our times of turmoil, and darkness so that we can once again find and appreciate that one lonely flower that had the strength and courage to grow in snow.

Yep, that's about it. Wow, my life is boring. Now I'm just working at the office and getting by.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: Of course not! Carousella did it!

Closest friends/How did you meet: Valaina Telemnair, our Page/Servant, is my closest friend in the palace. She has always been there for me when I need someone to talk too about how horrible my sisters are. And she never judges me, or says “That is not how Prince should act” like Momma does.

One Pillow or two: I am giving pillows away! Sister Petronella makes pillows for every holiday as gifts and sends them to us! I have run out of room on my bed!

Pets: Dosabella! Mother and Papala gave her to Carousella and I as gift for our second birthday!

Hobbies/Pastimes: I enjoy riding horses really fast, putting creepy crawlies in Carousella’s bed, and I also love to play cards.

Personal Hygiene: No one was to know about her! Oh, you mean as in bathing, but of course. I bath at least once a month, or when mamma tells me I need it.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: Of course Mamma and Papala are still alive, we Vulgarians have very long life spans. I and get along with them just fine, we are happy family.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: Well I know how they wish to die, but I am not supposed to tell anyone!

Favorite place to relax:  Working in radish fields when mamma is not looking. Hard work is a nice change form government, and gives you plenty of time to think.

What's your bedtime: Whenever all work for day is done, and then when I feel like it.

Are you married or single: Single, but that will only be until mamma finds me a wife.

Do you remember your first kiss: As I mentioned before, you were not supposed to know, but since I slipped, I might as well tell you. Her name was Hygiene, she was serving girl at palace a few years back. I had asked Papala how he learned, and he told me that he found a girl, and asked her to help him practice, so I did the same. Hygiene was an attractive girl, and when I asked her to teach me she was so delighted! That night I slipped out to gardens to meet her, I was so nervous, I did not know what to expect. But when she just grabbed me and started kissing me, without telling me what to do, I just went with it. It wasn’t bad, we weren’t good, but we learned quick enough after many nights of practice. That is until Momma caught us one night, all she could say was “Not my little Tricky, no, he can’t be growing up!” over and over again. That’s when Momma sent Hygiene home, and I haven’t seen her since. Should have listened to Papala and left palace grounds!

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: Wherever Carousella is not! If she is there, it is not real vacation!

Have you ever been overseas: All the time with Papala, he lets us travel with him to foreign lands whenever we can go.

What is your bed made of: Made of finest khlawpak, and filled with kooreetsa down, just like Papalas’.

How many people sleep in your bed:  Just me for now.
