| THIS is what life has been like... Hey all This is the last Iowa post comin' at you. I have been packing up DWP Studios and am heading back to Texas Monday. Don't fret; none of the art got wet. At WWTX this November, you'll see such books as: Colony #3 Sketch #2 Doe, Jane #3 (and 4 if my house doesn't sell!) A Target vignette I'm doing for Raised By Squirrels
and one or two other surprises.
Keep truckin, stay dry, and see you all in Texas.
Best, M | | |
| I'm alright....don't nobody worry 'bout me....All together now: "When the levee breaks..." All kidding aside, I've never seen anything like this. Kids getting killed by tornadoes, freeways covered with water and shut down. I had to drive all the way around Des Moines to get home from work last night. Every westbound street was shut down and the freeway was a parking lot. I'll post pics this week-end. This shit is crazy.
Feel bad for the peeps in Cedar Rapids. The water is over the stop signs in downtown. 100 square blocks, over 9000 evacuated.
More rain this week-end.
See you in Texas soon!!!!!
| Oh, mygosh, I was joking when I made this...I JUST read a story that quoted Bill Clinton as stating he saw his daughter Chelsea running for president someday, as she showed her stuff supporting her mom. One of the comments following the story jested that she would never stand up against a Babs/Jenna ticket: I give you, from Jet Danger, agent of R.A.N.G.E.R. my vision of the future:
And I thought I was crazy. People are talking... Politicians. The new generational celebrity.
| Holy Crikeys! I'm still alive!!!Once you take a peek at this page from a project I'm inking, you'll see why I've been MIA for a while... More to follow; got some SQRL page layouts to go scan (and send)
Yes, Bram, that means you.
I give you...Kreetor!

| Some work stuff...Just so's you don't think I do nothing artistic all day, here's a copy of a menu cover I'm working on for a local restaurant (part of my day gig) More comic stuff coming this week I PROMISE
PS if you haven't seen "The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford", corral three hours and rent it. You'll be glad you did. OR, if you like non-completist Oscar-winning drama, "No Country for Old Men" is pretty unfulfilling. All the characters end up with bad hair days. But, oh, that ending...
