It's been forever since I put anything in this, so here's a fun quote.

"If you ever find a perfect church, don't join it, you'll ruin it."

-Tony Campolo, on people complaining about the negatives about a church.

An Interesting Thought

Oftentimes people go through tough times, and when they're going through them, they sometimes declare their anger toward God. Their anger centers around them being put in, or allowed to be in such a situation. A general thing for people to say is "God understands my anger." Pastor Mike said something really good in response to this. He said, "God doesn't understand your anger at him as much as he understands your immaturity that causes you to have that anger."

Sometimes we think we have it all together, and then stuff hits the fan, and we really begin to see how mature we are in our relationship. I think we all have areas in our relationship that could be described as immature, whether it is the way we handle troubling situations that blindside us. Whether it is holding onto hurts people have given to us and never allowing us to be in relation with others with true freedom. Whether it is our refusal to acknowledge our self worth, which is so evident throughout all of creation, or so many other things that I could go on all day.

What areas are you still immature in? Really give those things to God, and make a concious effort to work on them, and you really will see God transform you, into someone who KNOWS the meaning of freedom. Freedom we've been promised by the lamb of God. Just remember, as you read this, no matter who you are, God made you to be free... So break the chain!

Third Day - Cry Out To Jesus

"To everyone who's lost someone they love
long before it was their time.
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye.

And to all of the people with burdens and pains
keepin' you back from your life.
You believe that there's nothing
and there is no one who can make it right.

There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are.

Cry out to Jesus. Cry out to Jesus.

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
have lost all of their faith in love.
and they've done all they can to make it right again
still it's not enough.

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
you try to give up but you come back again.
Just remember that you're not alone
in your shame and your suffering.

There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are.

Cry out to Jesus.

When you're lonely and it feels like the whole world is falling on you
you just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus

Cry to Jesus.

To the widow who suffers from being alone,
wipin' the tears from her eyes.
For the children around the world without a home,
say a prayer tonight.

There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
that meets you wherever you are.
There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary,
and love for the broken hearts.
There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing
that meets you wherever you are.

Cry out to Jesus. Cry out to Jesus.

I really felt like this was something I should write about, and that there was potentially a few people out there that might read this that needed to hear it. I'd love for you to either leave me a comment on this or send me a message just sharing if God was able to bless you through this, because I wanna be able to pray for you. God Bless!

I just figured I'd put this up on here. I'm not really returning to xanga, but you can add me to myspace if you'd like.

"This year, or this month, or, more likely, this very day, we have failed to practice ourselves the kind of behaviour we expect from other people."
