The very project that caused my wrist pain!

ZOMG!!!

I might try and actually talk about my life! WOW! I'm pretty boring, so I don't post much, then when I talk to my friends, I seem to have a ton of junk to say.

I ordered some stuff from amazon: A rice cooker, a macro cookbook, and a lunch jar. All of this is to try and be a good little macro girl all the time. When I'm at work, I tend to live on Morningstar food, since meat is a general nono on a macrobiotic diet. But fake chicken or fake beef patties get boring real quick, and I should be cooking on a regular basis. And the jar is better than those plastic containers I got from BJ's a year ago. I'm looking to slowly get rid of all of those since they found those toxic chemicals leech into the food. My next green/macrobiotic purchase is a BPA free water bottle. American made if I can find it. I've also cleaned out the kitchen, brought out the Brita, and reduced the number of bottles of water I go through a day (I drink a LOT of water). I'm also looking into pickling, and thinking of what seedlings to start up over the winter. I'd like a nice crop next summer. ^_^

My wrist is ok. I wish I could do as much writing and typing as I did before I blew it out, but I do need the time to heal up. I think my dreams of handmade gifts for all are just going to have to be dashed. My hand won't take the punishment and I will be smacked if because I didn't listen to my body, I end up needing surgery or something. Now the ache is more in the lower palm than the wrist. I'm betting WebMD has it right , it's a tendon thing and it'll be a couple weeks of rest for me. :( I guess Etsy is gonna be on vacation.

I started drinking chamomile tea again so I don't have the major sleep issues that I usually do at this time in the month. Cramps are waaaay down as well.

All in all, I think altering my life in this specific way (macrobiotics and slowly going green) is making all the right changes. I haven't needed sleeping pills, I'm in a better mood overall, I'm less tired, and I feel stronger. :)

Now, if I just hadn't screwed up my wrist and my back wasn't sore from helping Ma move a huge dresser up stairs, I'd be set.

Yes, I did lift with my knees! XD

Feeling Better and Alternet of the Day

I shunned the computer yesterday in favor of completely resting from my cold. I was sick as a dog all weekend and took a sick day to selfishly save all my germs for myself. ;)

I did manage to do a little crocheting and found that 30 min is indeed my limit. My wrist couldn't take more than that, even working with the brace on. I think it's better this way, just doing any sort of needlework only a little at a time, because I was starting to take Etsy waaaay to seriously. It's supposed to be fun, I have to keep reminding myself of that. :P

I can't crochet...

and I certainly shouldn't be typing but, I noticed something today. I do love my needlework, but with my wrist out of order, I have time to do what I haven't been able to do in some time. Sit with a good book. I'm ankle deep in A Strong and Sudden Thaw, and I'm really enjoying it.

I think it'll be a good thing to limit my needlework time over all. Sure, I enjoy it but it was consuming so much of my time. I'd love to be typing up some story, but I think this short little entry will have to do. :P
