And to side track a little, today we learnt about Abortion in biology. We saw ultrasound images of the foetus being sucked out by a suction instrument and his/her head being crushed by a pair of thongs (i'm not so sure what it's called). One thing that irks me is how some people are just willing to murder a defenceless child so that they're not burdened. I know it's controversial issue but I'm just here to share my opinions on it.

Firstly, theres a reason for abortion that is commonly accepted or less criticised of: abortion of a deformed/mentally disabled child. I do not see the reason to abort a deformed/mentally disabled child. Some might think that it is embarrassing to have a child like this but I can name at least one kid who was featured in the newspapers that was doing very well in real life. He was a performer and doing mighty find doing what he was doing. (sorry i can't seem to recall his name but if i do i will edit this). Some children might only be mildly disabled and it can be treated and handled well. A few might argue that doing this is for the child's own good and that by doing this, the child wil not be exposed to the harsh reality of life and the hurt that society may cause them by a) looking down at them b) bullying them emotionally and physically. No matter what, I still feel that you should keep the baby. With the right love and care that a family assures the kid of, no one can hurt the child. But again, when I right this, I can't help but feel that there may be under lying issues such as a) emotional distress caused to the mother b) parents that feel that their kid may not be accepted into society. Whatever it is, this topic is still open for discussion. However, I still feel that murdering a defenceless child is inhumane. (My nephew has down syndrome but my cousin still did not feel the need to abort the baby. They give him all the love and care that a child needs and should get and he is getting the right treatment)

Secondly, unwanted pregnancies that are the cause of pre-marital sex. This one I feel has not much of an excuse. Either a) give the BORN child to a couple (who really wants children but can't have one) that can provide the love and care that a child needs or b)  take care of the child  (you got yourself into this shit so get yourself out of it. and aborting the baby is not a humane way to get yourself out of it). I'm not saying this without feeling for the mother of the unborn child. I'm saying that the teenager/woman with the baby should think about abortion. Yes, it is the easiest way out of your plight but spare a thought for the people who are unable to have children. I know the baby that you are carrying in you (that you want to abort) can bring happiness and joy into a couples life instead of killing it.

Finally, women who are raped and are carrying the rapist child is a totally different subject. I shall not give any opinions on this because it is a sensitive issue and I cannot relate to it. I just want to say that this (abortion) is an issue that many people have discussed. I for one feel that abortion is wrong. But that's just my point of view. People have their reasons and I am not in any position to tell people what to do or in this case, what not to do. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I'm just penning/typing down my thoughts on what I learnt in school today.

I'm a kid and what I say is not always right.
Please don't quote me.

Coach's house for Pizza and National Treasure: Book of Secrets yesterday.Surprised Steph with a cake from Island Creamery (bought kinda last minute). Steph kept hugging my hand because she was scared. WEEIRD.Played a failed attempt at charades (because the "cool dudes" didn't all really want to play). The whole group sent me down when I had to go home because they didn't want to play.

Reef, Willa and I had to wait eons before Kaizha and the gang decided to come to the swimming pool. We hid behind the wall then behind a vending machine waiting for the perfect opportunity to spring on her to surprise her with unblown balloons. (sorry no confetti) So while waiting, we blew up some balloons, decorated the place, ate two slices of pizza each and took a whole lot of photos. More on Facebook.

Reef thought getting Kaizha pink party banners would be a great idea.
Hmm

Photos are not in chronological order.
Here are the ones in Coach's house.
Her house is really hard to find.
And I mean REALLY HARD TO FIND

Coach has TONS OF CSI: LAS VEGAS and I think she'll lend it to me.

Hairspirational

I should do a post of all my hairstyles this year. (watch this space) So far I've changed it three times. It's so amazingly fickle of me. As of now until two months, my hair will be as short as a boys. From long to medium to short. I think I just love messing with my hair. As soon as I'm out of school I would like to shave my head for the Children's Cancer society. It'll be so cool & I'll feel as if I've done something really good (:  My hair is so thick that it is impossible for me to try to cut certain hairstyles. And to top that off, I have a rolly polly round face which does not help at all. (I've got a round face but GOD LOVES ME)
Now I just need to figure out how to make me look more like a girl and less like a boy. Maybe I should get a beanie like Rihanna. Green, orange, blue and black...

(teehee, I want to sell my Nikon D40x for a Canon EOS400D)

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY (:

Went to the airport to pick Sara jiejie up before coming home to do something to prepare for tomorrow (secret). My cousin is playing "Kingdom Hearts" on the PSP, Sara is down at the Marina Floating Platform watching the National Day Parade (ah! i'm jealous) and my mother and ema are at Robinson's shopping. (I refused to spend anymore money on whatever rubbish)

This was taken last year at Stephanie's house with Bojie's Macbook.
Un-glamness is the key to looking pretty.
Because without ugly pictures, how would anyone know what pretty is.
Teehee.

I ate so much and grew so much older.
I'm now a flat slob waiting for the day I die.
(ohgoodness, I'm so ugly/gross)
But at least it's my face not other people's.
I'm not that mean.

There is a square watermelon on sale at Fairprice Finest at BTP.
Now there's a new square face.
