| UPDATES FOR YOU July 4th/08 Thank you for everyone who is participating in this idea. If everyone lives up to it, this will be a hit :). I made a list of the participants below. The site names will be linked on the day of the date that is chosen. That way if you're unsure of what site is participating you can look at the list and click their name. I need more people taking part so please keep signing up. I am also still deciding on the date. The date will be sometime next week; Im thinking wednesday or thursday. How does that work for everyone? I didn't want to the date to be too rushed. XANGA TURN AROUND; PIEASE READ As most of you know Xanga is seeming more and more dead lately. I believe it is because of a lack of motivation. If people arn't recieving comments or support it is obvious that sites are not going to be willing to work their hardest when they are not getting anything in return. Even if sites are recieving support, it seems that more and more sites are leaving xanga. They are quitting, going on hiatus, or just never updating. The spark for xanga is slowly fading away. So, i am going to propose an idea. Anyone can take part in this. I am going to pick a day over the next week or two that everyone on xanga will update on ( granted not everyone will be able to update on the same day, but alot may) . On the day that is picked everyone will update and comment each others site. Even if you don't know the person, comment them. The motivation has to come back to Xanga. Xanga needs to be active again. So, im asking for this one day that everyone update and everyone show eachother support. I am sure you are all wondering when exactly the day will be that everyone will update and who exactly will be updating. I am going to start a list of the people who know for sure they will be able to take part in this. I am asking everyone who wants to take part, that they comment and say when they are free and what date would be convient for them. If the majority of people pick around a certain date over the next two weeks that date will be chosen. After the date has been picked a list of the people who will participate will be posted. That way everyone will know who will be updating. I believe Xanga can make a come back and turn around, but we need to do it together <3 . There are rumors going around that users who make a new site are able to get credits twice as fast than those who have had their site for months. What is up with that? sure that is nice to be able to earn alot of credits in such a little amount of time, but what about the people who have had their site for ages and haven't earned barely any credits? My opinion is it should be the other way around. Alright so everyone knows that xanga recently found a way to add a new google side ad to all accounts. That's old news, so why am i bringing it up? well im bringing it up because according to xanga it was only supposed to be a 72 hour trial run. After the run the side ads were supposed to be gone..or so they let people believe. And where are the ads? that's right, they are still there. Yes, there seems like there will always be a way to remove the ad with a code but there is also talk about making hiding the ad illegal on xanga. Many of you might have noticed the word orginality leaking around Xanga lately. It seems that in order to be orginal you're supposed to not want to follow the trend of make-up, fashion, and celebrities. Why is it that you're called orginal if you prefer..lets say nature over fashion? one isn't orginal over the other, they are just personal tastes.
