as sentient intelligent beings, we have, over our history, freed ourselves from dependance on one thing or another; we dont need to wait for the change in seasons to create warm places of dwelling, we need not depend on the migratory patterns of fish for we now have fish farms, we need not depend on the shelter of forests or landscape to protect ourselves from predators for we can shoot them with our guns. there are already sciences working to convert energy into matter. if this were successful, we need not rely on the instability of nature to provide for us. we will eventually to sustain ourselves simply by harnessing oe kind of energy or another, and while these freedoms from dependance may seem superficial now, i think that we will eventually evolve/reconstruct ourselves to be more self-sufficient, and eventually we will grow out of the need for each other."
