to papa:

i love you and rest in peace. you have always loved and supported me. i only hope that i will always make you proud of me. i will never forget how hard you made me laugh when i was a baby. or our countless hours of mah jong. or the hookshots you shot over me in the backyard. or all the days of summer when you would make me cup and noodle and cheese sandwiches. or your torta, which still is the best to me, no offense to mom or mama. or coming down the stairs every morning and shaking your hand or giving you a kiss. or the instant filipina girl you promised me while you were there, just add water! or the teddy "beers" of the forests of maryland. there are probably so many other things that will come back to me later, but for now, you get my point pa. i just wanna end this entry by quoting you.

papa: ryan, what is a straight line?

ryan: it's formed by two points.

papa: you tell your math teacher this instead. a straight line is an arch with a radius of infinity.

no pa. a straight line is the worst thing you could ever wait for. i love you. watch over us like you always have.

SURPRISE! yes indeed i was suprised yesterday. to the point of tears. i love all of you guys. and just the sight of everyone there was enough to make me cry. i'm such a drama queen. haha. really though. it was not so much my obliviousness that had me surprised, but more of i never expected anything elaborate to ever be done for me. i'd like to quote tank and say "i'm the kind of simple man." i don't need much to make me happy, and when people go out of their way, it's just overwhelming for me. so i'd like to thank all of you guys equally. but you know that much of my thanks has to go to jedda. i say again babe, no one has ever gone out of their way that much for my sake. and i really do send all of you a deep, heartfelt thanks. not just for last night, but for these incredible four years.

i love spontaneity. it's being spontaneous that makes things better, because there are no plans. and no plans means no failed expectations. i came into today not knowing what to expect, and it turned out great in the end.

i had my swan song today, saying farewell to the mcnair acedmic christmas performance. unfortunately i was unable to bring things around full circle and do "the christmas song" one last time, but i think my newer song held up. if it didn't, i'm sorry!

afterschool, we finally decided to go to mara's house and meet up with everyone else at the colonette. the colonette was, well, not the best, but still a rather good time. it was boys vs. girls in awhile as we set a "rift" between us. lesbian names and aliases are fun to come up with. haha. and i hope you girls let out all the steam that you needed to and resolve any of the conflicts that you had to speak about during your semi-vajenga night. best wishes to everyone, all my girls and guys, this xmas. i love you all. you've been nothing short of great these past few years.

to top the day off, me maeann and mara went to chang's and walked around society hill. and i went to maria's for some hot chocolate and conversation. so all in all, the spontaneity made the day.

CAUCUS B FOREVER! ROOSEVELT GROUP BABY! oh man this week in washington at the nylc has been a blast. i really feel like i've known these people for more than a week. it was too sad leaving. i don't know if i can go back to dc without recalling the memories with everyone. if i were to see the washington mall again, i will remember riding the merry-go-round. if i were to ever see another quick's bus, i will always recall the great moments aboard bus 6 (anthony group kicks ass too! shouts to mike, evan, pinto and everyone else from caucus i). and most definitely, if my life brings me back to the national 4h center in chevy chase maryland, i will always remember everyone from caucus b. ::tear tear::

shouts to everyone! my roommates in 4280: drew (JETS BABY! KERRY-EDWARDS 2004!), ty (the republican who can't flush. haha. just kidding. let's go down to mississippi and get us some cankle twins bro!), and jordan (the awesomest ultimate frisbee player in the world); the fellas from room 4281: justin (my mosh homie), pat (the most hyper active and random guy i've known. hey! a dog! and it's on a porch!), wil (such a vagina!), and armand (the most unique guy i will ever meet); the fellas from 4283: dave (10 seconds dude!), dmitry (the life of the party!), and corey (if you punk me again i swear); SALSA! (the guy with the best nickname in the caucus); and of course the ladies of caucus b: tasha (whom i see eye to eye with on the concept of love ::high five:: much luck to you with your older dude. it'll work for you if you work for it), olga (forgive me for being yet another person who thought you looked like an olsen twin. za rodinu! forgive my spelling. i'm spelling it phonetically), melissa (i paid more attention to your doodles in committee than you think. i was really tempted to doodle myself, but ai took my pen!), kyria (the other half to my justice breyer!), ai (the girl that can refer to herself in third and first person at the same time. you better hook me up with that free jetski trip!), jen (cmon be honest. you know you miss dmitry and armand!), and emma (last but certainly not least. and i have a reasonably good memory, so if i really think i met you at registration. i did! no matter. bottom line is we met, right?)

that's it. love you guys forever man. will never forget.promise. o and for the hell of it, since it's what everyone remembers me for....

ONEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
