| Q: I don't know how to put my button on my page.
To Apply Directly into an Entry
- From our site, you need to highlight the entire code and copy it. This code will give you the button preview as well as a textarea for other people to copy who want to link you.
- Go to your site and go into whatever entry you want this button to be displayed.
- This is the important part. Now, you need to go to the top of your entry area and check off the box that says "Edit HTML" so that the green check mark is in the checkbox so that it will look like this -------------->
- Now that you are in this mode, don't be confused by all the code. All you need to do is go to the very end of your entry (ctrl+end) and paste the code you copied earlier.
- Now that you have done that, uncheck that HTML box to see the rich text.
- From here, you can see where your image and codebox is. All you have to do now is copy and paste it if you want to move it. Otherwise, you are done!
To Apply into a Module
-
From our site, highlight the entire code in the textarea and copy it. This code will give you the button preview as well as a textarea for other people to copy who want to link you.
-
Go to your xanga site and go to your look and feel.
-
Find the module you want to paste this in.
-
Paste the entire code.
To Apply into Your "Interests" Area
-
From our site, highlight the entire code in the textarea and copy it. This code will give you the button preview as well as a textarea for other people to copy who want to link you.
-
Go to your xanga site and go to your public profile.
-
Click on "interests."
-
From here, you can select where you want this to show up: in your "interests" or "expertise."
-
Let's say you chose "expertise." Click in this textbox and paste the entire code you copied earlier.
-
Remember to click "show" so that this section will appear on your public site.------------->
-
Click "Save Changes." and you're done! It will show up now on your public preview of your site.
| Q: How do I put that textarea with my button?
-
First off, don't try to out-think us. The textarea for people to link you is included in the pickup code. I commented you and told you this, but you obviously didn't read it out of some kind of button-sparked excitement.
-
When you pick up your button, all the html you could possibly need for this button to work on your site is already there...including the textarea.
-
I feel like I am repeating myself, don't you??
-
If you must know the textarea code, this is it: <textarea> TEXT </textarea>. Ta da.
| Q: How do you make a button?
All right... the #1 question I am asked. Making link buttons is not something that can simply be explained in a brief little FAQ's Section.
I am going to give you some tips on what you can do to make a button or get started down that road.

If you want animation, you need a .gif animator. There are free trials of this all over the internet. A simple google search will show you that. Here, I have even done the search for you. Click here for those search results.
-
Through my own searching, these are the animators I found are the most user-friendly and quality. They all have free trials... or at least, they did.

You have to play around with these animators and figure out which one is best for you. Good Luck!
