| Greetings spacious void of cyberspace! If you can hear me and are trapped somewhere just reach out your hands and search for a little round button. It will either reset your computer, shut off your computer (best case scenario) or make a CD pop out, which, if it is anything like my computer, should be enough to confuse it into crashing.
This is me checking in for my 6 month Xanga post and a lot has happened in the real world. I graduated from Houghton College, Jess and I are staying in Houghton for another 2 years while she teaches kindergarten and I go back for my masters in music. We just finished reading a series of unfortunate events and highly recommend them (all 13 books... or is that really all there is?... you'll get it when you finish it yourself). But, sadly, that is all of the updating I will do for today so go ahead, feel teased. Feel tricked. Feel snubbed. Angry yet? GOOD! Get off your computer and go for a hike or, if it's thunderstorming, a swim.

| How are things? Things are good. Student teaching is DONE. It was a blast and was solid affirmation that I'm heading for the right career. Christmas with family was great and Jess and I had fun in South Carolina with friends (Ben and Kirstin). This semester holds many fun things like bass lessons, composition lessons, graduate auditions (University of South Carolina, University of Georgia at Athens, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and Houghton College), and learning the nutso music to play for those auditions. And that isn't mentioning that Jess and I might be finding a new place to live starting mid-summer 2007.
Hope all is well

Greetings:
I just finished setting up a Flickr account so you can go check out photos I've taken here.
Have fun with that! Dan

| no WAY!So I am sorry I doubted you all, whoever you are. I suspected that I
was the only one who ever visited my Xanga site so I broke down and put
a counter at the bottom. Can you believe it? like 10 people visited in
the last couple weeks! That's like.... more than just me! HA!
Seriously, thanks. Makes me feel loved in a strange, cyberspace kinda
way.
In other news, speaking of "no WAY!", my friend Greg is getting married
this weekend--and that's awesome. Period. (That redundant "period" is
to emphasize that I am totally convinced of it's awesomeness.) AND,
also this weekend, I get to see Eric for the first time in months and
get to meet his girlfriend Carlynn for the first time, period. (That
"period", less redundant and equally excessive, means that I haven't
yet met her at all.) ALSO THIS WEEKEND, Jess and I get to go to
New Jersey for the FIRST TIME! Maybe we shouldn't be so excited about
that part, but it's a weekend away together and it would be nice and
relaxing anywhere.
Ok, so in other news, my recital went well--if you want a copy of the
CD just ask me in a comment and I'll get one to ya. You can tap a
comment anytime, still, as usual...
