  • Signing Off

    Dear Friends,
After being on Xanga for 3 years, I have decided to exit the World of Xanga. I have gotten more responsibilities at work(I am one of the toddler teachers now, which is very exciting) and I just don't have the time that I would like to keep it up. I am also closing down my Myspace account as well. But never fear friends, you can find me on Facebook, my e-mail is theaterfan23@yahoo.com and also still keep in touch by e-mail at that address as well. I also have a great idea to start a children's book blog and I want to take some time to develope that. That is all I have to share.   I will officially shut my Xanga down, next Sunday.

    Keep in touch,
    Kylee

  • Complicated--Grace Needed

I have been friends with someone for 8 years now.  We were really close at first and then went our seperate ways after graduating from college.  We live on opposite ends of the US of A and because of that distance our correspondance has been mostly through e-mail which has been scattered.  Last year, this person told me something very unexpected.  I have tried to carry on a friendship with this person but I feel that now, our lives are so different and the way that this person has chosen to live is not how I live or not a lifestyle that I condone.  It is not my job to judge this person, but nothing has been the same since and I feel that in order to move on, I must cut all ties that I have with this person.  I have been praying really, really hard but so far I have heard nothing and I do not want to make a decision in haste.

  • itunes:The Greatest Invention Since Sliced Bread

I got my ipod in December and I have been relying on my friend Jamie's computer to upload all of my tunes which was a great help but now my sister has a computer so I put my ipod on her computer and I have been frequenting itunes.  In the last few days, I have gotten 35 new songs.  25 of the songs came from a giftcard that I received for my birthday and 10 were my own purchases.  I purchases my last 10 songs individually and then I read in my ipod book that you can set it to a shopping cart feature so you can purchase everything at once, which I will do as I have more songs I need to get tonight.  So here are the 35 new songs on my ipod, with more to be added soon:

    Bleeding Love--Leona Lewis

    Low--Flo Rida

Don't Walk Away--Cheyenne Jackson(from the new broadway musical Xanadu)

    No One--Alicia Keys

    Stars--London Cast of Les Miserables

Master of the House--London Cast of Les Miserables

No Air--Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown

    Tattoo--Jordin Sparks

Kiss the Girl--Colbie Caillat(this version is absolutely wonderful!!!)

    A Long December--Counting Crows

    Street Corner Symphony--Rob Thomas

    Little Wonders--Rob Thomas

Now Comes the Night Rob Thomas

    Take a Bow--Rhianna

The Time of My Life--David Cook

    Love Song--Sara Bareilles

    Aplogize--OneRepublic

You Want to Make a Memory--Bon Jovi

New York State of Mind--Adam Pascal(of RENT--I love this version!!!)

    Brave--Idina Menzel

Tell Me on a Sunday--Bernadette Peters from the Webber musical Song and Dance

    Bridge of Trouble Water--Linda Eder

    Precious Lord, Take My Hand--Selah

    Boston--Augustana

    1234--Feist

Diamonds of the Soles of Her Shoes--Paul Simon

    Breakfast at Tiffany's--Deep Blue Something

Boogie Shoes--KC and the Sunshine Band

Caro--Milly Quezada(this is a Merengue, one of my favorite ballroom dances)

El Mamboleo--Los Ocho de Colombia(another Merengue)

If My Friends Could See Me Know--Sweet Charity(Christina Applegate version)

The Mighty Quinn(Quinn the Eskimo)--Manfred Mann(I cannot tell you when I first heard this song, but I was really young and I have always loved it)

Have a Little Faith In Me and finally To Love Somebody

There are several versions of the last two songs that it took me a long time to decide which ones I wanted to be a part of my collection.  Have a Little Faith in Me was originally done by John Hiatt and also covered by Joe Cocker, Jewel(who cites Hiatt as one of her inspirations), and Mandy Moore.  I have always loved Joe Cocker voice and I thought that his version was the best.  To Love Somebody was originally done by the BeeGees and there are so many versions of this song.  Jordin Sparks did an outstanding version on American Idol which was the best version ever according to Barry Gibb of the Beegees, but it was not available on itunes so I choose Michael Bolton's version, which is lovely.

    Gotta go to work

  • I'm Still Here

I love my new job at Kindercare that I started in April.  I do not have my own class, but I am enjoying working in all of the classes.  Especially the 2-4 year olds.  They are extremely curious and enquisitive and the surprise me everyday.

I finished Carnival in May.  What an exciting show.  If it ever comes to a town near you, please go see it.  It is a very enchanting and delightful musical.

I finally have a computer that I can hookup my ipod to because I have been using my friends computer for the past few months.  I just got an i-tunes gift card for my birthday and I have already used it up.

THIS IS WHERE I WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP

I just got the bright idea to create a playlist containing favorites songs from my friends.  Whenever I listen to a song that I know is a favorite of a friend, it is a way to keep connected even though we may live far away.  So please give me a list of your favorite songs and maybe a very brief description on why it is your favorite.

    Thanks and I miss everyone!!!!

  • So Many Blogs, So Little Time

Right now, I am active on Xanga, Facebook, MySpace, Gather(another blog type site, where you get points for posting and commenting and you can get giftcard.  I have already gotten two 25 dollar gift cards.  It is quite a nifty site), and I just started a blog  stoplistenwrite.blogspot.com and I plan a keeping on top of that.  The benefit of being on Xanga and similar sites is to keep in touch with friends and family, share pictures, stay updated on life, etc.  I Think I will probably get rid of Facebook and MySpace but I am not quite share as there are many on there that I only have contact with because of those sites.  We are busy people, I understand, but there is just so much to keep tract of.  So the first thing that I will do is get rid of my Myspace first.
